Streaming media on-demand has high requirements on bandwidth of network. When the number of users growth massive, the traditional model which based on the C / S, due to lack of network bandwidth, is difficult to guarantee the service quality of the system. However, in the model of P2P network, the information can interact directly in nodes, it reduce the load of server greatly and improve the system scalability. Therefore, it has great advantages that the application of P2P technology on streaming media on-demand.In recent years, the research of P2P which is used on streaming media is very popular, especially in the data scheduling, cache management, load balancing, incentives, and other key technology. The cache replacement strategy affects the quality of VOD directly. Therefore, this paper focuses on the cache replacement policy.Through analysis the traditional cache replacement algorithm, it was found that the existing cache replacement strategies do not consider the demand behaviors of users, can't use the node's cache data effectively for streaming media on demand which use VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) operating frequency, thus affecting the play quality. To solve the problem, this paper obtained the heat table of data block and analysis of the supply and demand value of data block resources by statistic of the behavioral characteristics of users. This paper proposed the replacement policy of the demand value and heat value by a combination of both. The simulation results show that the strategy which this paper proposed has a lot of advantages compared to the traditional cache replacement policy, such as startup delay, play continuity, server load and so on.
