China's first lunar orbiter Chang'e-I (CE-1) has the capability to concurrently capture hyperspectral imagery with resolution of 200m along with CCD imagery with a higher resolution of 120m. Hyperspectral imageries can describe the shape, texure, geologic structure and materials of lunar surface better than ordinary optical imagery, so that identification of different features on the lunar surface. To better serve for future lunar terrain exploration, and preparation work for the landing of probe vehicle, resolution of hyperspectral images from CE-1 needs to be enhanced. This dissertation introduces the characteristics of IIM and CCD from CE-1, then the necessity and feasibility of resolution enhancement to IIM data making using of CCD imageries. In order to make use of spatial information from high-resolution CCD sensor, this paper introduces spatial resolution enhancement algorithms based on multi-sensor information fusion. And then it developes a resolution enhancing method combining MAP estimation with SMM, and in the condition of arbitary PSF, it develops an iteration MAP optimization algorithm and a Poisson MAP optimization algorithm. Then the multi-scale band interaction model (ARSIS) was introduced, through studying two parts of the model, multiscale analysis model (MSM) and inter-band struction model (IBSM), the ARSIS fusion theory is also studied to applied in resolution enhancement of hyperspectral data of Change-I.Through a set of experiments, it is demonstrated that the proposed method is more effective for practical use compared with conventional methods in resolution enhancement of hyperspectral imageries.
