Mobile communication's development requires high data transfer rate and highquality of service (QoS). So how to achieve higher spectrum efficiency and betterQos with the finite recourse and harsh wireless channel conditions is the keyproblem for the next generation mobile communication. MIMO and OFDM is thecore technology of the next generation mobile communication because of theirsuperior performance. So using adaptive resource allocation on the basis of MIMOand OFDM can enhance the system's performance greatly.Firstly, this thesis researches multi-user MIMO-OFDM system based onadaptive resource allocation algorithm of Margin Adaptive (MA) and gives thesystem model and mathematical model of optimization objective. We utilizeexcellent problem solving capability of genetic algorithm and employ matrix codingand multi-choice method to resolve the resource allocation of MIMO-OFDM system. It can achieve high rate and reasonable resource allocation. This algorithm proposedcan avoid high algorithm complexity, that using lagrangian multiplier method andsuccessive substitutions method has, and also can effectively guarantee the fairnessof users'transfer rates.Secondly, one important goal of resource allocation is satisfying QoS require ofdifferent business because that in mobile communications different business needsdifferent QoS require For this question, this thesis proposes resource allocation andscheduling algorithm based on utility function. We divide business into real-timebusiness and non real-time business and design two different priority functionsaccording to different business require of MAC layer's users. Then scheduleaccording to the value of utility function and allocate subcarriers and power whenarriving to physical layer. This algorithm proposed can effectively satisfy the requireof real-time and non real-time business and achieve high QoS.Finally according to the condition of uplink signaling's limited resource inpractical communication, this thesis researches limited feedback problem ofmulti-user MIMO-OFDM system. We introduce some methods of reducing feedbackquantity. Then this thesis employs the method of setting feedback threshold andregulates the threshold to reduce the spending of feedback in the condition ofdifferent user channel.
