With the development of information technology, embedded system technology has been everywhere, has been integrated into the daily life. Embedded equipment means those who contain embedded system equipment. Embedded systems development are the technical requirements for product intelligent control ability, namely product embedded performance, control ability and control reliability.As the development of the embedded technology, especially in information, equipment for intelligent collection storage capacity needs more and more big. As flash memory (NAND flash) arises at the historic moment, and the low price, small volume, impact resistance, low power consumption, data non-volatile in portable storage etc, and has been widely used field.Nand Flash memory has the advantage of large capacity, faster writing speed, become embedded in the main data storage device. Because of the limited operation mode, Flash can not read and write speeds compared to conventional hard drives. To improve performance, Nand Flash chips gradually introduce more CE, Interleave, Two-plane, Cache and other mode of operation so that it can read and write speed improved several times, In embedded Linux systems, the management structure of Nand Flash device driver also did not support Flash MTD of these operating characteristics, the paper mainly discusses how to design the software and hardware for MTD support multiple CE, Interleave, Two-plane parallel operation, thereby optimizing multi-faceted. This paper deals with the design principle and structure of the MTD for Nand Flash multiple CE, Interleave, Two-plane operation the characteristics of the Flash device driver to optimize some specific measures for the storage of data in Linux on Linux general principles and are important to enhance the performance of significance.
