Now, with the rapid development and progress of society, human material and spiritual living standards are increasing, people have more and more intense in yearning and the pursuit of the music, the piano that is a typical representative as the stringed musical instrument, rapidly spreads to millions of households with its wide range, sounding melody, a complex feeling of strong hearing. Due to the physical characteristics of piano string need to be regularly calibrated, so the demand for piano tuning is also growing.Because theory and technology related to tools such as computer are late start, and be applied not good in musical instruments tuning,up to now,the piano tuning is generally done by the professional tuning engineers who determine the tune of the piano by hearing, and completed by using manual operation to adjust the strings. There are a few of tuning tools, which was used by sound the standard music. So two issues would appear to be resolved, on the one hand there will inevitably be subjective and objective bias because of the physical, psychological and the environmental impact of the professional tuning teacher, on the other hand, in the period of rapid spread of the piano, a small number of professional tuning people can not meet requirements of the tuning work for many ordinary users, which makes the piano tuning work as a troublesome problem. So this paper explores availability through using the theory of speech signal analysis in the problems of music signal processing by dedicating to the nature problem that analyzes identification and detection theory of the pitch characteristics of speech and music, and is combined with development and simulation tool of computer software to design and develop software by using computer software to identify and tune piano music, and helps personnel determine exactly the pitch of notes of piano tone and quickly completes the work of piano tuning as the assist tool of tuning personnel. In this paper, starting from the speech model between single-note of piano and voiced speech and the common perception of the acoustic nature, in-depth study and analysis theory and methods in time domain and frequency domain of speech signal processing and feature recognition, which is demonstrated availability in the Identification and detection of pitch characteristics of piano single-note, combined with the acoustic characteristics of the piano music and the nature problem of the piano tuning, refer and improve basic theories, commonly used methods related with the time domain and frequency domain so that it can be more effectively applied to the recognition and extraction of pitch features of piano note. The identification of piano note is the time-domain method of the pitch feature recognition in low frequency which is based on frequency characteristics and dynamic window length, and the complex time-domain and frequency-domain method of the pitch feature recognition which is based on combination between the autocorrelation of time domain and harmonics peaks value of frequency domain in high frequency. Through a large number of tests, results show that method to the pitch detection of piano note is better, and can meet the accuracy requirements of the recognition of pitch feature. This paper uses Matlab simulation development platform to complete the tuning software and the recognition analysis of pitch feature of piano note and the actual tuning work, and has promotion of practical significance about the recognition and correction of pitch feature on other types of string instruments, also has theoretical promotional value for the special signal processing single chip (such as DSP, etc.). The theory and method given above on recognition and processing of pitch feature of musical signal can also be used for the analysis and processing of similar musical instruments or in the related topics.
