In order to adapt to the development trends, microwave RF channel develops towards the common mode of wide band and great dynamic range: wide frequency band can satisfy the systems with different frequency and different transmission speed, great dynamic range can receive the strong and weak signals simultaneously, thus the wide band and great dynamic range become the basis of commonality of the microwave channel design. The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the design and engineering method of a wide band and dynamic range receiving channel. At first, this paper introduces the main performance specifications and their affect factors; reviews the design flow and method of microwave circuit for the following design; and then defines such main parameter as combined jamming, level gain allocation, noise figure, dynamic range of receiving channel etc. for the system application requirement analysis; and continues the circuit design and structural design; carefully simulates and calculates the realization of each parameters associated with the actual component specifications; then analyses and reviews the difficulties and critical technologies of the anti-jamming and high gain flatness requirements of the wideband channel as well as the maintenance the great dynamic range, and provides the usual engineering and resolving method; at last, this paper details the obtained specifications of the wide band receiving channel. As an important composition part of a certain type of high-performance wide band receiver, the channel achieved a maximum noise figure of 4.5dB, gain flatness not more than 4dB ,and dynamic range more than 55 dB in L~C frequency band。The development the project fulls in the domestic technological gap in related field, and lays the foundations for the development of follow-up products akin.
