E-Learning is a complete management system of knowledge. E-Learning is a combination of Internet technology and educational technology, which providing a lot of convenience for many learner. However, when we enjoy the benefits brought by the E-Learning, the security of E-Learning has become a serious issue we have to take into account.Distributed denial of service (DDOS) consume the system resources and network bandwidth of attacker to lead to the attacker can not response the normal requests, so as to realize the purpose of denial of service. DDOS is one of the most important factors to impact the safety of E-Learning.Firstly this thesis researched the basic theory of E-Learning and DDOS, including the definition, characteristics, advantages, trend of E-Learning and the principles, classification of DDOS. Then researched and designed the network learning system with the anti-DDOS attack function. Then this thesis researched the method of designing the anti-DDOS network learning system, such as the network development, the technologies and strategies that can be used in designing the network learning system, designed an anti DDOS model that can be used in network learning system.Second based on the basic theory of E-Learning and DDOS this thesis researched the PPM algorithm, analyzed the lack of PPM algorithm in performance, such as the compute and the number of packets to rebuild the attack path, proposed an improved algorithm named PPIM and theoretically demonstrated PPIM algorithm is better than PPM algorithm in performance. Finally, this thesis deigned a verification platform for PPIM algorithm, completed two experiment to verify the functionality and performance of PPIM algorithm in this platform. Experiment proved the PPIM algorithm can be used in E-Learning distance education to protect the E-Learning system, and the PPIM algorithm is better than the PPM algorithm.
