As the combination of artificial neural network and quantum computation theory, quantumneural network is a novel theory. It can take full advantage of the inherent quantum computingparallelism, such as superposition and entanglement properties of states to overcome some of thetraditional artificial neural network inherent defects, such as slow convergence, and so easy tofall into local minimum, and it is expected to become an important tool for the future informationprocessing.Because of the invariability,uniqueness and convenient collection of the fingerprints, thetechnology of fingerprint verification and identification has become one of the widest usedidentity identification technologies, it has great worth in criminal identification, network safety,information facility safety etc, and has not only theoretical significance but also practical value.Currently, fingerprint identification technology is not very mature and is still in the stage ofexperiment. What makes it far from mature is often ascribed to its demand on large numbers offingerprint-matching processes, and the considerable influence of images'noise and skins'elasticity during the procedure of automated fingerprint identification. These limitations result ina low recognition rate and a slow fingerprint-matching speed.Based on multi-layer activation function, the quantum neural network model has achievedmany successful application in pattern recognition field, such as speed recognition, faultdiagnosis, prove the effectiveness and efficiency of the quantum neural networks in practicalapplication. Through research, this article propose a new model of quantum neural network andapply to the fingerprint recognition technology, put forward a new fingerprint recognitionmethod based on quantum neural network, the experimental results show that, compared to thetraditional method of fingerprint identification, combined the quantum neural network withfingerprint recognition technology has more advantages, and can improve the fingerprintrecognition rate.
