Traditional Animation With No Paper Animation Combination And Design

In the beginning of June 2009, I have been in the office of Changsha Shadow Culture Communication Co. and served as an animation artist, who is responsible for the original cartoon production. Meanwhile, I engaged in the production of the public service ads "traffic safety", adopting paperless animation technique in the whole process. At the same time, I was an animation professor in Art and Design Department in Hunan International Economics University, teaching the foundation and emphasizing on two-dimensional animations.For developing animation industry, not only the accumulation of the number of production, but also the ways of production could make the glory of Chinese animation. We need to explore the advantages of the combination of both paperless and traditional animation. First, after introducing the developments of paperless and traditional animation respectively, we will have a discourse about the feasibility of using paperless animation techniques in traditional animation. Then, the principle and technique of the combination of paperless and traditional animation give birth to the method of the combination. Finally, production examples could fully demonstrate the production process of the project.The two main innovations of the work are listed as follows:first, study the feasibility that traditional animation adopts computer technique, and explore the combination of digital technique and traditional animation one, through the practice of improving the existing two-dimensional animation design. Meet customers'needs. Second, it is more effective that the design of two-dimensional animation adopts two-dimensional software Animo, video compositing software After Effects and Photoshop graphic design software and based on the development of a combination of paper and paperless animation.Basic procedures:receiving a scriptâ†'interpreting of the scriptâ†'producing animation shootings and backgrounds according to the scriptâ†'original animation production stage â†'modifying scan line â†'correcting contour â†'scanning into the computer â†'coordinating time-line â†'Animo â†'coloring â†'completing the copy. To control costs, in the early stage, we could use hand-painted original animation production; in the intermediate and late stages, we primarily use computer productions, which are the professional soft wares:Adobe Photoshop, Animo, Adobe After Effects and so on. The guidance of the project comes from the summary of theory and operation. In the beginning, I was inspired by the excellent animation works aboard. Animation production is a highly technical and professional work, therefore, I show my respect to those who devote themselves to animation and appreciate my mentor who offers advise and helps me revising the paper.
