This paper is started with two-dimensional X-ray CT images.And the issue to be discussed is the research and improvement of two image segmentation methods based on CT images.Firstly,some preliminaries are introduced,such as digital image processing and image segmentation.Secondly,we not only research and improve the Gauss-Laplace operator and water segmentation method,but also gain the results of CT images.The emphasis in this paper is respective improving of the Gauss-Laplace operator and water segmentation method. For the Gauss-Laplace operator,we start with edge detection and introduce the gradient operator and Canny operator which belong to edge detection operator.And then we analyze the problems which are properly in the traditional Gauss-Laplace operator.Based on these discussions the Gauss-Laplace method is improved by factorσ,threshold T,and linear filter's size M×N.For the water segmentation method.it's improved by removing noise.range transformation and so on.We also obtain the segmenta-tion images by the improved method.
