The past two decades has witnessed the rapid development of campus network. At present, in China, it has almost achieved the goal of informationization and digitalization, which has made great contribution to university information resources sharing and academic development. During the involvement of campus network building, from the early wired access mode to the recent wireless access mode, from the extensive application of IPv4 to the rising of IPv6, there have been various Internet access modes in campus network to meet the needs of faculties and students. Under such circumstances, however, a new problem ensues, that is, with so many different access modes, how to execute the uniform identity authentication of the entitled users. What's more, using different technologies, different schools have established their own system during different times. As a result, those systems are relatively independent of each other in logic. Among them, however, it is inevitable to share data, which has demanded the technology of uniform identity authentication, of SSO (Single Sign-On), of SSO based on uniform identity authentication and demanded the ultimate goal of the realizing "single sign-on, multi-site roaming". Although many companies and departments, in building campus network, have presented their own solutions, careful research and analysis should not be neglected, when we put into practice those ideas, since schools differ from each other greatly in their own conditions and requirements. This project carries out the research aiming at the uniform identity authentication building of campus network of Yunnan Institute of Technology and Information. It proposes a scheme of various access, different forms of facilities and tests on the basis of further research on the technique of authentication and the research and analysis on the network of Yunnan Institute of Technology and Information. It can support the uniform identity authentication through such multiple access modes as access via wired network, wireless network, IPv4 network, IPv6 network, campus network, off-campus network and better meet the requirement of building network in Yunnan Institute of Technology and Information which successfully realizes the object of this research.
