The rapid development of express rail provides more convenience for people in China. However, it brings new problems for wireless network design and construction of cellular mobile communications. More challenges are faced for wireless network coverage due to high speed, signal loss and mass users.In this thesis, wireless networking for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail has been investigated. Wireless channel of high-speed scenario has been analyzed. Three schemes for wireless networking which are macro base station based private network, radio-over-fiber (RoF) based private network and leaky cable based private network are considered. Performance of these three schemes is compared.This thesis presents three kinds of express rail network schemes for wireless coverage. With different capabilities of these three schemes and experimental results in the Dongguan section, they are combined to provide better wireless coverage for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail.In this thesis, the wireless coverage for the Dongguan section is focused. Field trial results of combined three schemes are provided. These results make better wireless coverage for the whole Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail to be feasible.
