People perceive a variety of outside information, eighty percent of which get through the vision by eyes. The purpose of computer vision is to make the computers mimic human vision, to perceive, understand and analyze the images shot by video camera, and to use these images to reconstruct the three-dimensional scene. With the development of computer vision, three-dimensional reconstruction based on binocular vision which received wide attention and application has the advantages of low cost, easy operation, etc.In this paper, we have researched the three-dimensional reconstruction based on CCD binocular vision technology. We used the pictures shot by the ordinary digital cameras to achieve three-dimensional reconstruction through the camera calibration, feature point detection and matching, and the calculation of fundamental matrix and essential matrix. In this paper, first, We completed the camera calibration by Camera Calibration ToolBox for Matlab based on Zhang Zhengyou's method; second, we adopted the SIFT method for image feature points detection and matching; third, we adopted the RANSAC algorithm to calculate the fundamental matrix and the essential matrix; last, we used the camera internal parameters got in advance and the essential matrix obtained from the fundamental matrix to reconstruct the feature points of the objects and to achieve the three-dimensional effect by pasting pictures. In the end, the experimental results and analysis of three-dimensional reconstruction based on binocular vision were given finally, and we could do more work in next step based on the results.
