With the development of social information technology, information becomes more and more important, and even becomes the basis for survival in various society fields, so now a hot topic is that how to ensure that the critical business data is not lost, high-performance disaster recovery system and its related technology provide the protection of the development of information technology. Disaster recovery is an important research in the area of information security. Disaster recovery technology protects valuable information in a computer system to ensure that the recovery of data is timely after disaster occurred. Grid technology makes the implementation of mass data migration backup in WAN after disaster possible. Grid is built on the basis of the internet and World Wide Web, it is a new wed-based service framework, and it is also the important development of the existing Internet technology and Web technology. The essence of the grid is sharing and collaboration. Remote backup in grid environment is a more high-performance technology of data backup and disaster recovery, and data remote migration is a important ways to solve the question of disaster backup and recovery. This paper in-depth describes the disaster methods and models in grid environment, and uses the genetic algorithm in the disaster recovery task scheduling. Genetic algorithm is characterized by implicit parallelism and global solution space search, so these features are good solution to design the backup system in a grid environment.
