Distributed optical fiber sensor technology was put forward in 70 years of 20th century. As it can sense the temperature of each point in the form of a continuous function of distance in the entire sensing fiber, it has become the most promising field of optical fiber sensor technology. The optical fiber of distributed optical fiber sensor system, having been widely used in industry, national defense, scientific researches and other fields, is not only a transmission medium but also an optical fiber sensing medium, and also has the advantages of anti-electromagnetic interference and small size, etc.In this paper, we carried out the distributed fiber optical temperature sensor system from the theoretical analysis, researched the operational principles of the distributed optical fiber temperature sensor system, and designed the structures of distributed fiber optical temperature sensor system and resolved them. The signal demodulation of system is expressed by the ratio of Stokes and anti-Stokes, so we designed a single-channel time-tested device and a novel time-coupler, making up the low accuracy and high cost of the traditional two-channel signal detection, improving the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the temperature resolution of the system. We also analyzed the stability of distributed optical fiber sensor system, and discussed the factors influencing the stability of the system and improved them.
