With the continuous improvement of the extent of automatic electronic paper documents, the application of document image is more and more widespread. Mass of document images are for storage, communication and information retrieval through the network.Information access and exchange is faster and more convenient.At the same time, it brings the risks of information security. The issues that how to protect and authenticate the document image copyright become increasingly important. How to ensure the accuracy and integrity of document images is directly related to the availability of customer data and their vital interests. And it is the social problems to be solved in today's society. Digital watermarking technology is an effective technical method to ensure information security. It is one of the hot research areas in Information processing.Document images are quite different from natural images under the general sense. Most of them are applicable to natural image watermarking algorithm and are not suitable for document image. The proposed algorithm is mainly for scanning the binary document images. It uses texture features as the authentication information of document images. It calculates the binary texture features of document images. The authentication is attained by changing the statistical information of texture features. In the paper,the execution of the algorithm is given,and different levels and size of document images are tested. Experimental results show that the authentication method has good Invisibility and stability,owning high availability in the document image authentication.The paper first introduces the basic knowledge, concepts and related theories of digital watermarking, the basic framework, classification, classical algorithms and so on. Focuses is on binary image watermarking. And then, it analysis the characteristics of the watermark signal processing technology and binary document images, and proposes the document image authentication embedded algorithm and detection algorithm. The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in the following areas:(1)Proposing an algorithm of authentication information generated by of texture spectrum. The authentication information has a high discrimination.(2)Giving embedding and the detection algorithm of authentication information.(3)Proposing a reversed and adjustment ability of watermark embedding to improve the quality of the image authentication.(4)Giving the visibility of adjustment algorithm to measure the transparency of embedding algorithm.Binary document image, as a special information carrier, plays a very important role in advanced today's society. The integrity of the authentication and copyright protection is a very promising research direction.
