The traditional radar transmitter by a single only traveling wave tube or speed adjustable tube design, when the equipment need continuous wave emission and pulse launch usually adopt two transmitter respectively to undertake corresponding task. Modular dual pipe transmitting technology, in a transmitter using two traveling wave tube design, each independent of functional components adopt modularization design. This transmitter can shoot simultaneously continuous wave and the pulse signal, separate undertaking of radar target search, tracking and intercept tasks and weapon guided task.Along with the development of technology and demand of traction, designers realized the original launch technology in volume, weight, control and so on already cannot satisfy the requirements, systematic and integrated need to design for further improvement. Designers from transmitter working principle, the author analyzes two pipe launch technical indexes of accessibility, describes the transmitter system composition for each functional components design principle are introduced, focusing on several key technology to develop the research, including intelligent control and protection system design, distribution circuit design and modular design, etc.Designers on the basis of theoretical analysis, physical prototype was developed, and the prototype of the performance test, analyze the environmental conditions of double tube transmitter technical index effects. Test results show that modular dual pipe emission technology research reached designers design requirements, and can be used in engineering practice.
