With the development of internet and communication technology, the security of information transition is getting more important. The former information encryption algorithm and system are confronted with new challenge and taking on new current, including mix encryption technology.This thesis designs a multi-mode mix encryption system based on AES and RSA algorithm which can be used in internet and wireless communication field. This system has the advantage of both AES and RSA.First, this thesis analyse AES and RSA algorithm. Discuss the encryption and decryption flow of AES, also find the equivalent decryption algorithm. By analyzing several RSA algorithms and take the application scense into account, the L-R scan and subtractless base 2 Montgomery algorithm were choosed.Second, this thesis designs the mix system including AES module,RSA module and some control logic. This system uses encryption and decryption reuse to decrease the area of AES module, uses inside and outside double pipeline to increase the clock frequency and throughput. By analyzing the algorithm of round, find a kind of combinational logic S-BOX with a small area based on field transformation. A totally reused MixColumns cell and keyexpansion cell supported 3 kinds key lengths which adopt store-in-ram were designed too. The thesis designs the RSA module including data path cell and control cell. The control logic is designed as a FSM which guarantee the preciseness of the entire 13 mode.Third, this thesis takes the simulating and synthesis of the Verilog HDL code. The function of the system is proved right. On the condition of TSMC 65nm process, the clock frequency of the system is 200MHz, the area is 202K gates, and the power dissipation is 62.74mw. The throughput of AES and RSA module are 32Gbps and 31.7Kbps.At last, this thesis gives the conclusion and canalization of all the work, find the shortage and make the direction of research in the future clearly.
