The development of the digital multimedia technology and network communication technology brings great conveniences for people, but it also brings the problems of digital multimedia intellectual protection and information security. Digital video watermarking technology becomes the hot topic of the protection of digital video products. In this paper, video watermarking algorithms based on chaotic scrambling were investigated by theoretical analysis and experimental simulations.An image scrambling algorithm was proposed based on the TD-ERCS chaotic system, and it was applied to the watermark image preprocessing. Since the pseudo-random sequence generated by TD-ERCS system has extreme sensitivity to initial conditions, good statistical properties, and regeneration, chaotic sequence was used to image scrambling. The simulation results showed that the algorithm has high security and good scrambling effect. A video watermarking algorithm based on fractional-order Fourier transform and sub-sampling Contourlet transform was designed for the original video watermarking algorithm. Firstly, chaotic binary watermark image was encrypted by image scrambling algorithm. Then the watermark image was embedded and extracted by FRFT and NSCT. Experimental results and performance analysis showed that the algorithm has good safety, invisibility and robustness. For next-generation video compression standard H.264, a video watermarking scheme was put forward based on chaotic scrambling and motion vector field. It is a compressed domain video watermarking algorithm. In the motion vector field, watermark information after chaotic scrambling was embedded and extracted adaptively, and the original watermark information was recovered by scrambling inversion. Pseudo-random and initial value sensitivity of chaotic sequence provides a guarantee for the security of the watermarking algorithm. The results indicate that the subjective and objective video qualities are both equivalent with the original video sequence, and the algorithm has lower error bit rate and better robustness.In a conclusion, in this paper, two digital video watermarking algorithms were presented. Both of them have obvious advantages on the invisibility and robustness. Especially, chaos scrambling is applied to watermark preprocessing, and the security of the algorithms is improved greatly.
