A Discussion On How To Cultivate The National Spirit Of Modern College Students

My thesis consists of four parts. In part One, I elaborated the connotation,characteristics and the stages of development of Chinese national spirit, which included such contents as unity,cherishing peace,industrous and courageous,self-improvement,etc.In part Two,I elaorated the function of Chinese national spirit and the significance of how to cultivate it and the theoretical basis of how to cultivate the national spirit of modern college students. Chinese national spirit has such function as cohesion,regulation and cultivation,etc.Cultivating the national spirit of modem college students has important significance in the field of promoting the college students to a person with wide kowledge and talents and making the goal of higher education come true.In part Three,I analyzed the insufficient aspects and current situation of cultivating the national spirit of college students in moder universities. These insufficent aspects included such fields as lack of financial input,low professional cognition of the college teachers,out-of-date tteaching methods,lack of the abilities of innovation,and low efficience of teaching,etc.In part Four, I Proposed the principles and ways of cultivating the national spirit of college students in moder universities. Cultivate the national spirit of college students must adhere to a correct guiding ideology and value-oriented, adhere to the theory and practice,adhere to the unity of inheritance and innovation. The ways of Cultivate the national spirit of college students including through the strengthening of the ranks of teachers, increase investments in infrastructure facilities; improve curricula and teaching materials system; to improve classroom teaching focus on hidden courses to strengthen the campus culture.in order to improve the efficience of moral education, I think it is necessary to strengthen the building of the ranks of teachers, improve the curriculum system and teaching materials, improve classroom teaching, enhance the validity of the spirit hidden, create a good learning environment, launching the national spirit of community activities, etc.In this thesis, I analyzed the the connotation of the national spirit, characteristics and functions, the main contents of the basic patterns and the way on how to cultivate the spirit of Chinese nation in universities and grasped the national spirit from a multidisciplinary perspective in order to give some reference for how to cultivate the national spirit of modern college students in universities.
