The family is the cradle in which secondary school students grow up and parentsare the first teachers of secondary school students. As the cells of the society, familiesare the important places for the formation of moral cultivation of secondary schoolstudents. The family, whose environment has a long-term and far-reaching impact onthe formation and development of secondary school students' moral characters.Therefore, the establishment of a good family environment is an important guarantee forthe high school students' physical and mental health development and the formation ofgood moral characters. This paper starts with illustrating the basic theory of the familyenvironment and the moral characters of students and makes the purpose of researchclear. According to the theoretical concept and the open-ended questionnaire surveyconducted on360students from two secondary schools in Chongqing, and theface-to-face depth interviews with12students. We gain a full understanding of thefamily environmental conditions and the moral status quo of secondary schoolstudents.On this basis, further analyze and verify the relationship between familyenvironment and high school students' ideology and moral. Last, in order to optimizethe home environment and promote the formation of good characters, this paperproposes a series of measures and recommendations: creating a good family atmospherefor moral education and cultivate a harmonious parent-child relationship; improve theoverall quality of parents and set an example for secondary school students as a modelof good personality; improve teaching strategies and enhance the scientific of parenteducation method; creating a practical family environment for moral education andpromoting secondary school students to apply what they have learned to practice;strengthen the coordination and complementary of family, school and socialenvironment of moral education.
