The progress of humankind and a country both relate to education. Woman is a strong troop that writes the history and creates civilization. They promotes human progress and social development, determines education plans and the development pace of education. Research on female education has become a national research priority and been put on the social development agenda.Mary Wollstonecraft considers that the development of female education can promote the change of a society and further affect the gender culture. The impact of the process will in turn promote the development of female education. On the basis of this understanding of the three, Mary Wollstonecraft notes that female education is the only reliable way to promote female's advancement and social development. So her thought about female education is formed.The paper studies the female education thought of Mary Wollstonecraft's from a social gender perspective and tries to analyse the most fundamental reasons restricting female education. Gender perspective emphasizes on the study of female's ideas, experiences, history and values. This paper examines the social, personal and educational background of Mary Wollstonecraft from historical perspective and then deeply analyses her female education thought. The paper ends up with trying to provide inspiration for reference to perfect and promote female education on the basis of our female education reflection.
