Purpose:1.To inspect the adaptability of Work Zest Questionnaire among Primary and Middle School Teachers, and survey the status of primary and middle school teachers'work zest;2.To investigate effect mechanism of primary and middle school teachers'work zest, and provide practice reference for the Management of teachers'work zest.Methods:Use Work Zest Questionnaire among Primary and Middle School Teachers to conduct a sample survey on228teachers from2middle schools in Changsha City and some primary and middle school teachers from teachers study school in Ningxiang county and analyze data with SPSS17.0software.Results:1.The reliability and validity of Work Zest Questionnaire among Primary and Middle School Teachers is good and overall indicators have reached surveying standards and the scale suits for measuring the primary and middle school teachers'work zest;2.Work zest index of primary and middle school teachers is above average (1.9451±0.375). The level of work zest from teachers of different school age, education, title and grades reveals significant difference (p<0.05). Teachers who have4to10years'school age and11to15years'school age have significantly higher work zest than those teachers who have15years and above school age; Master degree and above, undergraduate and technological academy teachers have significantly higher work zest than secondary vocational school education teachers; Master degree and above teachers is significantly higher undergraduate teachers; First level teachers of the middle school teachers have significantly higher work zest than that of three level teachers of the middle school, senior teachers and two level teachers of primary school; Two level teachers of the middle school'work zest is significantly higher than that of three level teachers of the middle school; The junior middle school teachers'work zest is significantly higher than primary school teachers.But on the gender and age, primary and middle school teachers'work zest hasn't significantly difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:The Work Zest Questionnaire among Primary and Middle School Teachers suits for measuring the primary and middle school teachers' work zest; Environment, welfare and salary as well as school's management are important factors for work zest. Therefore, it is a good way to approve teachers' work zest through the joint effort of society, school and teachers.
