On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Legal Education Of Contemporary China's Universities

Since the beginning of the new century, China's socialist modernization process continues to accelerate in the backdrop of globalization, mercerization and information, and the level of the legal construction has been significantly improved, especially with the promotion of quality education, the reform and development of the university legal education has yielded impressive results. However, it should also been paid attention to the problems existing in the university legal education. China is in a critical period of the "12th Five-Year Plan", an effective solution to these contradictions is good for the positioning of university legal education, and for the improvement of the university students'law quality. This is not only related to the modernization of China's educational development and the construction of high qualified personnel, but also necessary to build a harmonious society.This paper concludes four parts.First, with some concrete practice, the author further clarified the positioning of university legal education by carefully researching the relevant concepts and theories. Legal education is an integral part of the Ideological and political education of the university, meanwhile, it has its own independent features. Rebutting the action that attaching the legal education to moral education blindly, and advocating that the university legal education should have its own independent position.Secondly, this section made a special survey of the legal education related with part of the universities'students in our province through issuing the questionnaire. Then, analyzing the status quo of China's university legal education from five aspects:the legal awareness, the legal knowledge, the legal ability, the legal faith and the legal education of the university students.Thirdly, combining with relative theory and the research data, this part talked about the existing problems of China's university legal education. There are mainly five problems:the degree of attention of university legal education should be raised, the position of it was not proper, and there excising certain objective resistance; university legal education model is still relatively backward and be influenced by the traditional educational model deeply; legal education curriculum and teaching staff are not reasonable; students'personal features are notable and their psychological health condition caused resistance to the legal education; in addition, some negative factors of the family and society also exerted certain influence to the university legal education.Finally, regard with the five problems above, the author made a research about the countermeasures from four aspects:the university, the society, the family, and the students themselves. The university should increase the emphasis on the legal education, reform the legal educational model, optimizing the setting of the legal curriculum, strengthening the construction of the teaching stuff, combining the psychological health education with the university legal education, and putting forward that building a network legal education system combined the university, the family and society to crack the various problems faced by China's university legal education.
