The Analysis Of The Data Of Mental Health Status Based On GPCM Model

Item response theory (IRT) has been playing an important role in the development of educational and psychological measurement, which has become a central method in measurement theory. By using the Generalized Partial Credit Model (GPCM) and the Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithm, we analyze the data of mental health of graduate students in Northeast Normal University. The data set was collected based on"Chinese Under-graduate Mental Health Scale"in2010. Our research results show that the mental status of graduate students is generally good except for some female graduate students. Furthermore, male students have a better mental health than female. Finally, some suggestions are given to improve the mental health of graduate students.
