Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region is the region where Uyghur as a main nationality and other ethnic groups like Han Chinese living together .These ethnic groups all have their languages and own cultural features. Over the years, in Uyghur schools the widespread adoption of bilingual teaching method of the "Uygur - Chinese "as a teaching language method. This teaching model is having a large scale based on the Central government and local Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region government policies and laws. This method already has made great achievements, but on a specific discipline of bilingual teaching mode, there are lack of example of bilingual teaching and research. In this research paper, we will try to show a model of bilingual teaching and practice based on a certain Uyghur junior high school geography class.This article is divided into four parts:In first part, we will analysis and summarize of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region`s "Uygur - Chinese " bilingual teaching of history and current situation And show the value of this study proposed. We also describe the contents and research methods of this study.In the second part, we study the related concepts and theories like instructional design, learning theory, instructional design theory. And we comparing typical succeed bilingual education model of foreign countries. We also review of the history of bilingual teaching experiment of other minorities in China and discussing the feasibility of bilingual model based on information technology in junior education in Xinjiang.The third part, we will design a bilingual teaching as a typical case in in Uyghur junior high schools and practice. We will use classroom observation and interviews and other methods to get results of this case study. The design and practice will include the design of teaching, teaching process, and other processes.In Part IV, we will summarize this research and proposes further work to be done in the future.
