A prominent feature of a new round of basic education curriculum reform is to promote changes in the way students learn, actively advocate independent learning, cooperative learning and inquiry learning. However, to achieve the aim of students'independent learning, from passive learning to active learning, changing students'old, boring way of learning completely, we should pay more attention to the activities of the learning process in which students learn how to discover, present, analyze and solve problems. Among these, it is not only the first element but also important core element to discover and raise questions. Because no questions means no solution.Ability to raise questions plays an important role in education. Nowadays, what is the ability and how to develop the ability of students is one of the major issues among the chemistry educators. The research carried out through investigation and class teaching practice draws the following conclusion:The level of high school students'questioning ability is low.Based on chemical power source class ,traditional teaching method and exploring teaching method are applied to two different classess——ordinary class and experimental class. The result is: The latter performs better than the former. Besides, The exploring teaching method is more effective in improving the questioning ability and students think more actively. In view of the phenomenon above ,the suggestions are as follows: Firstly, protect the students'curiosity and encourage students to raise more questions; Secondly, vary the teaching method and create good teaching situation; Furthermore, guide students to correct or raise new questions by accessing their own questions; Finally, make students realize the importance of questioning.
