Young children pass through understanding and characterization mathematical problems, using existing mathematical knowledge, experience and skills, through certain steps and strategies to solve the problem solving process. This is children mathematical problem-solving process. It is a thought process, but also a learning process. 80 years of the 20th century,U.S.mathematical community to"problem solving"as the core of mathematics education in the world has a huge impact, kindergarten is reflected in the performance of teaching is the 2001"Guidelines for Kindergarten(Trial)"in mathematics education for young children to re-interpretation of and positioning, The success of early childhood mathematics education is that children do not grasp the wealth of mathematical knowledge and skills, but able to apply simple mathematical methods to solve simple problems of life, learn mathematical thinking.Therefore,understanding the process and characteristics of young children to solve mathematical problems, is particularly important and critical.This study selected 40 children of four kindergartens as research subjects, through observation, individual interviews, clinical and other methods to collect a large number of cases, trying to get through in-depth education on-site to gain the microscopic process of mathematical problem solving and reveals the reasons behind. The results show that:(1)5-6years old children mathematical problem solving process through the problem perception, problem representation, strategy choice and strategy implementation of the four links,however,not all aspects but a simple linear relationship between the deepening spiral of the whole process are dynamic and tacit characteristics. Among them, the problem representation is an important part of child care mathematical problem solving.(2)The questioning and the questions of problem representation stage more conducive understand right issues to child care.(3)5-6years old children during the process of mathematical problem solving tend to add subtract strategies, facing little complex issues fingers kind of strategy and operations will help children solve the problem.(4)Attention, life experience, mathematics kownledge, analysis comprehensive ability, memory and other factors can affect 5-6years old children to solve mathematical problems.Through the above research and analysis, the author proposes several specific teaching suggestion preparation in teaching, teachers give children rich operating materials; time in teaching, teachers should learn to listen, to provide adequate time to think and express for child care ;in the teaching process, teachers should constantly upgrade their questions ,and guide young children the ability to think; extension in teaching, teachers help children acquire a broad representation of materials.
