Study On Marriage Viewpoint Changes Befor And After Settled Down Of Yugu Herd

Yugu is a special minority nation in Gansu Province and in our country as well. After settlled down, their production and life style have significantly changed, and correspondingly, Yugu's society and local people's marriage viewpoint have significantly changed at a large extent. Through the combination of qualitative and quantitative method, theoretical and empirical study, and based on social transitional and structure functional theories, this research described the changes of marriage viewpoints before and after Yugu people settling down, analyzed the reasons for the changes of marriage viewpoints, and finally concluded that with the gradual open of society, the increase of the heterogeneity of Yugu's society, and the introduction of modern elements, farmers'values have been more diversified. After settled down, the major changes in Yugu people's marriage viewpoint are as follows: (1) the way and standard they used to choose their spouse appeared to be diversified, rationalized, and activated; (2) the attitude towards their marriage viewpoint is more open and easy. The significance of this research is to better understand the social transition experienced during the settle down period and its associated influence on marriage viewpoint, and to enhance the social unity and healthy development.
