Local geography education is an important part of middle school education. Local geography helps students know the area around school and the use of knowledge from textbook, brings up practice ability, builds the idea of sustainable development, and enhances the motion of loving country and homeland. The quality of local geography teaching affects directly local geography education and the education to love country and homeland. Therefore, research of local geography education has important meaning according to the new course standards. Now, people have realized the importance and necessary, they also bring out specific requirement to local geography education in most parts of China, but the performance of local geography education has many limits caused by the limit of class hours and the requirement of score. Teachers have a lot of confusions about how to improve the local geography education.
