Push-VOD And IP Dual-mode Technology In The Application Of Distance Education In Rural Primary And Secondary Research

In order to improve the level of basic education in rural areas and balance the urban and rural education resources, China implemented its modern distance education in rural primary and secondary schools, allocating equipment and starting environmental construction since 2003. At the end of 2007, all the provinces have gradually completed the first phase of the project's construction, which, to some extent, improve the rural schools of multimedia teaching equipment ownership and solve the problems of resource-poor rural school, thus promoting the spreading of information on rural primary and secondary education. Since 2008, the modern distance education in rural primary and secondary schools has come into the full application stage. In the application phase, modern distance education project have revealed some problems in equipment and resources.Based on the experiences and problems in the implementation of modern distance education in rural primary and secondary schools, China prepares to apply its second phase of modern distance education . This paper discusses the problems in hardware devices, the transport and use of teaching resources in rural primary and secondary schools. Based on the satellite radio and television network and the IP internet of Push-VOD and IP dual-mode technology, the paper discusses the principles and advantages in Push-VOD and IP dual-mode technology and the ways to solve problems in the first phase in modern distance education in rural areas through Push-VOD, and IP dual-mode technology, and finally, the paper discusses the Push-VOD and IP dual-mode technology's feasibility of implementation from the constructivist learning theory, combined with discussion of the characteristics of rural students.
