Using experimental observation through 3 classical experiments of Number concept of Piaget and 2 variation experiments, 261 preschool children of 4 to 6 years old have been examined for their mastery of basic Number concept circumstances and familarity of experimental material. This enperiment is to test the influence of task difficulty and Experimenter's instruction on the age of children achieving the task. Results show that:(1) The phased characteristics of children's Number concept of Piaget development is proven. With the growth of age, the accuracy of task juding enhances unceasingly. Seeing from the average level, Piaget may be underestimating the development of children's Number concept concept. The age of children judging correctly is right ahead of the one Piaget has proposed.(2) In variation experiments, the Experimenter's instruction takes obvious effect on children's answer. The mastery of experimental material and the difficulty of task affect also on the result. Choosing proper experimental material, task difficulty and Experimenter's instruction, which should be fit for the age of children, would more effectively examine the level of children's task achievement.
