Ability of farmers to access credit funds will greatly affect the farmers production and living arrangements, affect rural economic development and affect the process of building a new socialist countryside. The study subjects were farmers and as the relations between social capital and accessing formal credit for elements. Analysis of the current status of social capital and household ability to obtain credit status, and tap the side of social capital in the role of the credit for the size of the process, from another point of view to analyze the current rural financial services lack, access to credit to support farmers reason to reflect on our Level in the rural financial system deficiencies and defects. In order to better promote rural financial reform, developing the rural economy and building a new socialist countryside provide a useful reference.This paper takes Dazhu as an example to precede our research. After erecting the measuring index system of social capital and accessing formal credit and the relation modle, this paper in the way of questionnaire survey and case interview to implore the relation between social capital and accessing formal credit and influencing factors of these two variables. Main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) Variables of social capital in organizations can provide security, enhance the viability of farmers so as to avoid occurrence of passive default to ease credit constraints farmers and enhance farmer's ability to obtain credit.(2) Social networks can ease the shortage of household collateral for loans difficult loans to help farmers get more information and reduce borrowing costs for farmers.(3) Trust and social norms can effectively prevent the occurrence of passive non-compliance, farmers maintain the credibility and enhance its binding farmers to maintain a good credit history household.According to the conclutions from theory and impercal analyzing, we argue that, Households on social capital as a whole have a stronger impact of credit access, but many of the side effects of social capital has not been realized.Now,we must strengthen the rural credit system, development the Local rural financial institutions, close to the needs of rural farmers, and make full use of existing grassroots organizations to enhance the technical capacity of farmers own production, while farmers with financial institutions to reduce the information asymmetry Improve farmers to formal credit availability.
