Johann Amos Comenius This paper concluded that the thought of Comenius which is a breakthrough from the shackles of the education of humanism, and profound developed into the harmonious educational thoughts reflected from "The Great Didactic of Comenius", which focuses on the cognition of the purpose and principle of education and so on. His thoughts are of valuable reference for China 's construct ion of harmonious society and education:China should transform her notion for education, reflect her purpose of education, and establish the educational value for the purpose of enlightening. To realize the overall harmonious development in education, in people and society, the education process must meet the natural development requirement of the students; And the educational rhythm must be in accordance with the rhythm of somatopsychic development in the students.This paper is divided into five parts, the first part is the preface, including the reason of this thesis topic, the trends and development of domestic and foreign research and research methods. The middle parts are the body of this paper, the first chapter discusses the formation and development of Comenius'humanistic and harmonious educational thoughts, including the inheritance and advancement from Humanistic Education. This part is the presupposition to research Comenius'humanistic and hannonious education, because the core idea of humanistic education is humanity. The second chapter discusses the subject of Comenius'humanistic and hannonious education in detail. Firstly, it summarizes the relationship between humanistic and harmonious education. It is demonstrated with two ways:the link of Enlightenment of Western harmonious education with Humanism, and the characteristics humanistic and harmonious education thoughts. Secondly, it mainly elaborates on the concrete subjects of Comenius' humanistic and harmonious educational thought, reflected in the educational aims, educational principle, educational content, educational methods and educational management system. The third chapter discusses the historical significance of Comenius'humanistic and harmonious educational thought, as well as how to guide the reality of modern education in our country. The last part is the conclusion, summarizes the Comenius'both historical and real value of Comenius' humanistic and harmonious educational thought.
