With the development of science, technology and economy, information technology has been extensively applied to many fields. The research and practice scopes of educational technology has been enlarged from the micro education (school education) to the macro education (educational information service). Hence the capable people who can keep learning new ideas and technologies, be able to apply these knowledge in various contexts are intensely in demand by society. In order to fulfil this demand, it is particularly important to strengthen the practical ability of students who take educational technology as a major.According to literatures and interviews, this research first analyzed the status quo of ability-lifting measurements for students, proposed research questions aiming at improve students' ability by extracurricular activities. Based on these questions, the author constructed a theoretical model of practical ability-lifting. Several cases of extracurricular activities were studied for the purpose of further theory development and practice.The research contents are as follows:Chapter one:Introduction of research background, status quo, purpose and methodologyChapter tow:definition and theories:the author explained several key concepts and the basic theories in the research.Chapter three:construct the theoretical model of practical ability-lifting.Analyze the limitation of current practical ability-lifting measures in educational technology major; emphasis the importance of practical ability for educational technology major students; Due to the deficiency of practical ability in regular curriculum, the focus of the research is to improve the practical ability by extra-curricular activities Then possibility of carrying out extra-curricular activities is deeply analyzed. The author also explained the relationship of extra-curricular activities and regular curriculum, proposed a ability system for educational technology majors, and elaborated the implementation of this model.Chapter four:the case study of extra-curricular activitiesBased on the model, the author developed a platform, focused on two cases which used platform to carry out extra-curricular activities.Chapter five:conclusion, limitation and further discussion:...
