Minority Areas Outside The Foundation For Development Research

Nowadays, with the development of world multi-polarization and economic globalization, as well as the remarkable advancement of modern communication and information technology, especially the popularity of internet technology, the development of foreign non-governmental organizations is on the upswing on a global scale.Whether the number, size, fields of activity, or influence, makes a radically difference. In the wave of global association revolution, as well as the influence of international NGOs in the international arena continues to expand, more and more scholars emphasize the plurality and diversity of social governance body, as well as the irreplaceability of foreign NGOs in the global governance behaviors, which is independent of the government and the market. Since the reform and opening up, China began to integrate into the world with a positive attitude, thus opening up a vast space for the entrance of foreign NGOs, and a growing number of international non-governmental organizations are pouring into China, carrying out various activities in the field of poverty alleviation, education, health care, etc. widely and characterized their own features during their activities.The development of overseas organizations in China has attracted much attention from governments and scholars, and they have yielded fruitful results. However, most of them tend to research on the international NGOs in China as a whole, while few of them specifically focus on the foreign foundations. But as one scholar puts it:the international NGOs are a tropical rain forest rather than a big farm. Therefore, this paper will position its research perspective as one of many foreign NGOs---he foreign foundations to carry out the research. The paper will start with a detail introduction of the development profiles of foreign foundations in China's minority areas, then, based on the general grasp of the living conditions of the foreign foundations in ethnic minority areas, the paper further analyzes the foundations'main activities, then summarizes their own characteristics which are showed in the course of specific activities, and analyzes the relationships among the Chinese government, local NGOs and the local citizens, etc conducting subjects in the process of project implementation. Finally, based on the objective analysis of the double impacts of the foreign foundations, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to avoid their negative effects as much as possible, and providing favorable conditions for the foreign foundations to grow healthily in China. Let the foreign foundations to serve China's economic and social development efficiently, and promote the construction of a harmonious society. Besides, the paper tries to provide some references for the government and relevant organizations to establish a collaborative relationship with the foreign foundations.
