The Research Of Social Support For The Aged Live Alone In The Rural Areas Of The Central Plains Of China

With the ceaseless course of urbanization rise, the movement of population in our country has been rapidly moved forward and caused an "army" of ample transient population which mainly formed by the surplus rural labor since the farmers' frenzied hunt for work in cities after the reform and openness.In the rear of this army there is a new fragile group—the old people who live in rural area alone. Because of the economy resource limited, living without care and lack in spirit comforts, most of them live a difficult life.In Central Plains area, as economic and social development lags, rural area population scale is ample, the young adult labor force outflow is grave and tradition provide for the aged culture style declines gradually, the welfare problem is outstanding.The study takes 18 old people who live in Henan province L city N village as samples, by the method of case interview, the quality nature research method observing on the spot, add up with method such as repeated analysis of document and questionnaire investigation, to show the panoramic view of the social support through paying attention to the situation of social support's three aspects,such as economic support,daily care and spiritual life support from the main giver of support, like government,family,relatives,neighbors,the village cadres, and so on; and to analysis the deep-seated influence factors to social support of the aged who live alone in the central plains of china; then to explore the feasible way how to build endowment patterns for the aged who live alone and to improve their support system based on their needs and the responsibility of those giver.
