Abstract/Summary:
The Object of this thesis is the State-owned-enterprise workers, who are in this particular historical period of the market transition. The Thesis analyze the extent of identity of the by the social and its influencing factors in the period.This study takes the method of analyzing questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaires come from Dalian petrochemical company, Wenzhou state-owned enterprises and Anshan iron and steel company. The groups is generally divided into two parts, one is workers of state enterprises, who engaged in a productive work at the first line; another part is the workers outside this group, through the perspective of outsider's to see the orientation, evaluation and identification of social status of the state-owned-(?)erprise workers.Convenient for analysis, the article use the theory of professor Liqiang as a reference, which divided the workers according to the congenital role into three differentiation workers:traditional pure workers, farmers identity transformed workers and highly educated workers, Through analyzing the different characters of the three group workers, including expectations, obtain, values, to get a general impression of the state-owned-enterprise workers during the market transition period.In the related concept of using the class and stratum in the paper, the concept of do not strict distinction between the conflict, struggle into account range, depending on the class and stratum for the same concept. The working class and distinguish between workers, the study is not including political workers identity and subjective social evaluation and objective social facts are integrated into the analysis system to workers. In addition, this paper generalized the identification is the social identity, both personal identity, organizational identity and social identity, etc. various kinds of forms of identification.In the social recognition factor analysis in the process of research to class theory and social stratification theory as a foundation, respectively in government workers "quantity" and "the nature" on to study the effect factors of the working class identity change. The "quantity" according to the number of workers to change and shown to analyze the lack of the identity characteristics levels; "Quality" in order to block the Duncan "status get mode as the basic theory frame, analyze can influence the identity of all kinds of factors, the main part to various theories sociology for behavior basis. In the "quantity" and "quality" based on the analysis, the use of horizontal comparison, from different enterprise of workers, workers and farmers and workers and civil servants in income, occupational prestige and political status contrast analysis of the current government workers group real life circumstance, and then find the gap by the degree of identity change. The main part of the data analysis using data.Through the comprehensive factors, the author puts forward the class status change workers enhance the sense of six kinds of measures:to create a new flow channel, development workers group become the source of social vitality, skills re-education raises the technical level, raising wages, eliminate the unit system path dependence and play media role to strengthen the workers status.There are three innovation points:first, on subject of study, take in the undergraduates as a new part of state owned enterprises, and analyze their identity in the background of new era. Second, this paper is synthetic when chose the factors which affect identity. What's more, it not only breaks through the simple analyzing of Weber's theory, but considers worker group's life style, role expectancy, social prestige and income etc. Last, in analyzing method, this paper based on Class theory, research all above factors that play an important role to worker group's identity, and stress the reasons of state owned enterprises'case in market economy, which benefits and elements urged their social identity. Synthesize above three innovation points, to explore a reasonable means of expression of workers'benefit appeal, to improve social position of worker group, and to search a new way to enrich and integrate the control mechanism.However, some further research may be needed for the thesis:First, the sampling quantity is modest of which the data is exclusively selected and mainly based on the statistics sourced from questionnaire survey among three state-owned enterprises, from which the conclusion drawn is probably inconsistent with the overall situation of the social identity for workmen in state-owned enterprises in China at present with existence of regional and trade differences; Second, the interviewees are primarily chosen at random with uneven distribution of ages from which the information obtained is greatly influenced by personal characteristic and subjective consciousness, the thesis nevertheless does not eliminate that influencing factor. The presence of those defects will lead to a conclusion stated in the thesis with deviation inevitably.Differed features are shown in the workman groups under dissimilar social formation, which requires new analysis on them in the changed historical circumstances. Positioning at the stand of market transition new-era, identification and status re-recognition of workmen in state-owned enterprises and research on their social identity is practically and historically significant to a large extent.
