1938witnessed the birth of "Marxism in China", which was first proposed in the political report named On New Stage by Mao Zedong at the Sixth Plenary Session of Party's Sixth Central Committee. Mao gave the Chinese Marxism during people's ten-year hard revolution and struggle which was led by him. At the present time,"Marxism in China" has always been being focused on by scholars. However, we need to first study the early Marxism propagation of China in order to further understand its profound meaning and historical significance. The proposition was not born without foundation but worked after a long period of exploration and preparation. The process of early propagation marked people's hard struggle led by the Chinese Communist Party on basis of Marxism, in which we paid close attention to applying the basic principle of Marxism to Chinese concrete revolutionary practice in a full and scientific way. Therefore, this paper discussed the theoretical basis, formation conditions and theoretical results of Marxism in China and its early propagation values and experience in accordance with previous research achievements. There are four parts in all:Part one is the introduction. In this part, the current situation at home and abroad on Marxism in China and the purpose&significance of the topic were showed; the research thought and methodology was illustrated to propose the key and innovative point, which shall lay a solid foundation for further research.Part two is the basic issue on early Marxism propagation of China. In this part, the theoretical basis of early propagation was showed including its scientific nature, the integration between Western and Chinese culture, its wide spread&application and results by different fierce debates. In the second place its historical conditions were introduced on the age requirement for Chinese proletariat adapting to the world revolution, the social requirement for China in modern times saving the nation from subjugation and ensuring its survival and the influence of Russian October Revolution victory; in the following its features were illustrated including the practicality of contents, diversity of propagation ways and subjects.Part three is the process and theoretical results of early Marxism propagation in China. On its process there are four stages including the circulation, spread, relative ripeness and integration between spread and practice. Theoretical results show the analysis on national conditions and social nature of modern China, principal contradiction and revolution targets, the proletariat, the peasantry and the national bourgeoisie, the understanding of arguments for Chinese revolution steps, and further blueprint for Chinese socialism.Part four is early propagation values and experience of Marxism in China. This part showed a definite value for the early propagation, presented historical limits for its spread and summarized the propagation experience. |
