The ideological and political education has always been the party's fine tradition. However, with the reform and open policy and the development of market economy, the infiltration and surge of different thoughts as well as the variety in value orientation present unprecedented challenges to the ideological and political education. Thus it is unsuitable to carry on depending merely upon the original experience. At present, what needed for the ideological and political education are innovation, brand building, and advanced brand construction.The branding of ideological and political education is an inevitable trend of social development, which also adds new attraction and vitality to its development. Through the ideological and political education branding, an operating system and mechanism which features community-wide participation, influential effects, vast coverage, modernization, high management, scientific, standardized will be built up.The branding of ideological and political education is promoted based on both scientific theory and actual social needs. Theoretically, it is supported by Marxist humanistic theory, Marx's theory of human comprehensive development theory, force of social development theory, the human essence theory; practically, on the one hand, the branding of ideological and political education is in line with the requirements of promoting a harmonious society and building well-off society in an all-around way. In the other hand, it is also an carrier of core socialist values, inside request of modernism and scientific of the ideological and political education.This paper discusses the significance of branding construction of the ideological and political education, summarizes a series of existing problems, and puts forward important principles. How to promote branding in practice is learning from some successful cases. The thesis also focuses on ways in which ideological and political education branding is put forward: lay the foundations for branding, combine related brands, and advance the system as a whole. Four levels of work need to be completed in practice: firstly, form the strategy of branding; secondly, integrate various resources as the promotion way; thirdly, perfect guarantee and evaluation system; last, steadily push forward branding innovation in summing up former experience.
