In recent years, along with the rise of globalization and the rapid development of network technology, network has been extensive coverage, fast and efficient, influential, strong development momentum of the mass media, for a distribution center of kinds of social thoughts and demands of interests, an important battleground contest of various ideologies. Now, online media events are becoming shorter and shorter, lower and lower ignition and increasing scale. The influence of public opinion and social organization and mobilization capacity is also growing. Practically speaking, it is quite passive that our current capabilities of ideological and political work to guide and manage the online pulic opinion is slower than the speed of development of Internet technology. Facing rapidly changing information and network technologies, the majority of the ideological and political workers should seize opportunities, meet challenges and take full advantage of this new type of carrier networks to make ideological and political work more targeted and effective, and constantly open up the ideological and political work.Based on the analysis of network communication meaning, this paper begins with the meanings and characteristics of network communication and network audience, then plays the emphasis on the types(that is, the interpersonal communication of network, the network group communication and network organizational communication)and characteristics(ie faster communication and updates, rich content, Macross, information forms of multimedia integrated, interactivity and dissemination of decentralized) of network communication, next this paper analyzes the concept of network audience, and then the general characteristics of network audience and psychological and behavioral characteristics of Internet users; At the same time, the paper focuses on the economy, politics, culture, education and ideology in the new era of the ideological and political work, and then analyzes the relationship between network communication and ideological and political work, to further clarity ideological and political work of the network to grasp opportunities, meet challenges, innovate vector, and constantly create ideological and political work. Meanwhile, in order to give full play to the ideological and political work in network communication, this article interprets the five dimensions of ideological and political education improvement and innovation from the concept, content, vector, means and educators, on this basis, in order to capture the ideological and political education front in the network, the paper analyzes the specific initiatives of the ideological and political education of network media form the technical aspects of website construction and network management system of innovation and personnel training level.By analyzing the general characteristics of the network audience and the psychological and behavioral characteristics of Internet users, the paper wants to find the mutual relationship between network and ideological and political work, based on the theory of the network audience, the ideological and political work, the network communication and so on, to provide a theoretical support and development initiatives for the expansion of ideological and political education in the Internet era.
