With the development of economic globalization and the deepening of interdependence among countries, international security cooperation becomes an effective way of strengthening international crisis management. China is the world's largest developing country, and U.S. the largest developed country. There are not only common strategic interests, but also unavoidable structural contradictions between them. Strengthening Sino-America maritime military security cooperation is of great and profound significance for avoiding misreading and misunderstanding, and for maintaining the overall situation of bilateral relation.International crises are crises occurring between two or more international actors. Corresponding to the stages of international crises, an international crisis management cycle also includes four stages, i.e., prevention, preparation, response and recovery. Each of stages requires effective communication. Only when the parties have common basis, sincere willingness and complete mechanism for cooperation, can strengthening international crisis management effectively enhance traditional and nontraditional security crisis management, so as to prevent conflict and war.To strengthen Sino-America maritime military security cooperation is in line with China's strategic choice of peaceful development, and helps to alleviate the structural contradictions between the two countries, and maintain China's international image of a responsible big power. Both sides share not only common strategic needs, but also strategic interests and strategic foundation for cooperation. To strengthen Sino-America maritime military security cooperation, both sides must follow the fundamental principle of mutual respect, mutual trust, equality and reciprocity . China and U.S. need to jointly manage the international crises, by means of jointly maintaining maritime channel security, coordinating maritime counter-terrorism operations, and implementing joint maritime disaster relief operations, etc., in order to promote the development of bilateral relation. The two countries also need to maintain high-level military visits and dialogues, strength maritime military mutual trust and exchange mechanism, and improve Sino-America maritime military security cooperation management procedures, so as to manage the bilateral crises and maintain the bilateral relation. For the future Sino-America maritime military security cooperation, there is still large space for improvement. Within certain limits, there will be strengthened, extended, institutionalized and long-term cooperation between the two countries.
