Research On The Community Management Of Floating Population In City

The increasing floating population in city has raised widespread public attention. How to strengthen the community management of floating population and how to utilize the role of floating population in the process of urbanization are becoming popular research topics among multiple metropolis managers and scholars. This paper focuses on the development of floating population and the problems emerging from the governmental management of it, fully analyzes the impacts of social-economic development on the community management of floating population and outlines the recommendations on the community management of floating population.According to the research, it is found that floating population is mainly characterized by low education level, high proportion of young and middle-aged labor force, high labor intensity, low incomes and the dual nature of cultural psychology. It is analyzed that the major problems in the community management of floating population are the outdated management concepts and insufficient management mechanism, the incomplete legal system, the weak foundation of community management and the difficulties for floating population to be accepted by city community. In order to further utilize the positive impacts of community on the management of floating population and reduce or eliminate the adverse effects on city development, this paper proposes a strategy to strengthen the community management of floating population: to create an unprejudiced, equal and harmonious social environment, promote the legal process of the management of floating population in city and improve the community construction.
