Some people say: In the nineteenth century, labor movement raised while in the twentieth century, consumer movement raised. Comparing these fundamental rights of the consumer, the right to know is the most closely connected with everyday life. Also, it caused the most intense subjective feelings of consumers . Our government made a lot of regulations to protect the right to know for consumers. With the development of technology, the twenty-first century ushered in the era of online consumers. The consumer rights is often compromised in the process of online shopping, and hard to seek legal remedies.Right to know in the network environment characteristics shown by the protection of this right to bring a new challenge, this paper is informed by the concept of network and consumer analysis of the characteristics of online shopping from the consumer's right to know Legislative status and defects, combined with online shopping in China against the consumer in the right number of specific issues, such as consumer awareness of the law, information disclosure, credit evaluation mechanism, the main duty and relief ways to study five areas, compared to and learn from OECD, the United States and the European Union on the outcome of the legislative field, to improve the protection of the right to know enough to know a complete set of proposals for protecting online consumers, and a reasonable solution.In order to better protect consumers'right to know in the online shopping process and to improve the protection mechanism, we should first spread legal information to consumers and enhance the legal awareness of rights; Second, the legislation should expressly disclose the obligations of online operator and detailed the content of disclosure to improve the legislation completeness and to spread the punishment of system operators; Establish agencies as a neutral and independent organization to perform credit evaluation. These agencies should give fair and accurate evaluation to the system operators and keep a complete information database for consumer inquiries; Solicit management and identity authentication network operators to fully implement the market access system to facilitate consumers when there is conflicts and make sure the customers can get timely compensation; Special to online consumers, to solve the difficulties of evidence collection and prolonged lawsuit process, we should better the solving process of the online shopping and involve the consumers into the process of maintain the rights. Throughout the process, supervision from the government departments is also a strong support of consumers. The enhanced self-discipline of operators is bound to reduce the unlawful infringement. This process will provide more effective protection of consumers. And the right to know can really be achieved.
