The complex sentence teaching is always one of the difficulties in Chinese as a foreignlanguage teaching. As one of the basic terms of complex sentences, foreign students mayfind the Chinese Compound Complex Sentence (CCCS) difficult to learn and use. Takingthe Mid-Asia students as object, this article reviewed the theoretical issues and the researchstatus of the CCCS in Chinese as a foreign language teaching, and for the purpose ofinvestigating the learning and using situation of CCCS by Mid-Asia students, analyzed theerrors made by this group of students while using the CCCSs (mainly appeared in exercisesand class teaching).This article is composed by three parts–the introduction, text and conclusion.In the part of introduction, the author mainly discussed the purpose and meaning of theCCCS teaching in Chinese as a foreign language, confirmed the research object, source ofmaterial, and research method while reviewing the complex sentence theory.The part of text is composes by three chapters. In Chapter1, the author reviewed the existresearch results of CCCS in the basic of literatures, and explained the theoretical issues ofCCCS. In Chapter2, the author introduced the using method of CCCS, and summarized thecause of the errors by listing and type-analyzing the common errors made by foreignstudents while using CCCS. In Chapter3, the author applied a method of grammar teachingusing the language environment through the basic study of the purpose, specialty andmethod of the Chinese grammar teaching as well as the theory of the language environment.In the last part, the author made a conclusion and pointed out the shortages of this research.
