And Mongolian music is the miracle of musical gardens because of its unique historical culture inheritance. Mongolian nationality is one of the main nationalities in the northeast of China taking an important position in our national history, and is called The Nation on Horseback. The Mongolians are enthusiastic and straightforward, they have their own excellent national culture in the years of development. Mongolian traditional music is closely linked to the development of history and literature as poem with music, song containing poetry and coexistence of poem and song. How such a nation with a long history is closely related to the traditional Chinese musical instrument Erhu?In fact, Erhu and the Horse Head String are of the same clan. They both gradually developed from the XiQin. Erhu is a representative national musical instrument. The integration and innovation of Erhu and Mongolian music is increasing.This paper is about the fusion and development of Erhu and Mongolian style music by studying four Mongolian style music played by Erhu. It stresses on the beginning, development, climax, problems and the challenges of Erhu in playing Mongolian style music by analyzing a series of Mongolian musical works.And it also states the unique characteristics of Erhu in playing Mongolian style music listing Sai Wai Qing Si and Cao Yuan Qing Ge.
