Shinto is the core part of Japanese original native culture, source and foundation of Japanese modern cultural construction, basical element and source of strength of Japanese nationality composition. Nowadays Japanese Shinto cultural elements are found everywhere in modern life. And as a unchanging spiritual pillar of thousands of years of development process in Japanese Society, and the basis of logical thinking of people's daily behavior, in the changing times, Shinto constantly absorbs foreign cultures, integretes its own culture, and timely consistents with ideas occupy the mainstream of times in Japan, thereby becoms the theoretical basis of Japanese culture.First of all, this article resumes the development process of Shinto in thousands of years of Japanese history, analyzes and summarizes the theoretical characteristics and cultural connotation of the high days of the original myth. Secondly, this article explains the relationship between Shinto and Japanese political culture, the high days of the original myth of Shinto plays an important naming role in the formation and the development of Japan-Emperor; Once again this article expounds the relationship between Shinto and Japanese folk culture, detailed analyzes the gods as Shinto worship, the major festival of the year, folk shrines and the program of visits to the Yasukuni; Lastly this article researches the relationship between Shinto and Japanese spiritual culture and analyzes the essential connotation Shinto in the sense of cultureal philosophy:Shinto is a constantly integreting, changing and developing culture patterns.
