Confucius Institute as an international language promotion agency, dedicates topromote Chinese language and Chinese culture to the world (region), meets the needsof all the people who learn Chinese language and Chinese culture,mutually improvesunderstanding of cultural in around the world (region),strengthens the culturalexchange and cooperation between China and other countries, develops friendlyrelation of China and foreign countries to promote multi-cultural development in theworld and set up harmonious world. In2004,the first Confucius Institute was formallyestablished in the Republic of Korea in the world. The Confucius Institute distributesAsia, Africa, America, Europe, Oceania. Until August2011, overseas ConfuciusInstitute and Confucius Classroom has risen to826.Confucius Institute of cross-cultural communication bases on the main body ofthe Confucius Institute as a cross-cultural communication, how to spread the Chineseculture, finds many highlighted and potential problems, further specifically analyzethese issues to become the theoretical guidance. In addition, the Confucius Institute asa national agency of a foreign exchange, cannot close to develop, needs to constantlyabsorbs the experience from the outside world, enriches own theory to improve theability of China's cross-cultural communication, to eliminate cultural barriers betweenChina and other countries, to deep cultural exchanges and promote their culturalcharacteristics, and to provide guidance and recommendation for future cross-culturalcommunication.This essay bases on perspective of cross-cultural communication, uses the "FiveW" mode to deeply analyze communication content, communication channel,communication audience, communication effect,to look for latent series of problemsand address proposed countermeasures to enhance cross-cultural communicationability of the Confucius Institute.
