Bulgarian Muslims

This paper mainly analyse and discuss the historical stage of Bulgaria on Muslim between the founding of modern Bulgaria to the communist party ruled end (1878-1989) The religious problems and ethnic problems are related in together in Bulgaria, besides largest number of the Bulgarian,there are many Turkish people who most of are islamic, so the Turkish people can refers to the entire Muslim groups.Compared with subject nation, muslims has great difference in language, national, cultural, customs and even dress, become the "alien" in Bulgaria society and humiliated and repressed in the Ottoman empire'rule, so that the nation has the strong sense of insecurity and revenge emotions, all previous Bulgarian governments more or less adopted different degree of assimilation policies to all the territory of the Muslim, not only the moderate gradually assimilation, but also the intense forced assimilation, assimilation policy reached the peak in December1984—January1985,attempt to replace all aspects Turkish Muslim characteristics with Bulgaria characteristics.This paper mainly divided into five parts:The first chapter introduces Bulgaria population situation. With Bulgaria government census and related study conclusion as the foundation, This part analyzes of the current survey,historical origin and some controversial national problems from the race, religion, language of Bulgaria nationality composition. In aid of statistical method, the author attempt to find and solve problems from data contrast, with a lot of forms and population distribution topographic maps.The second chapter demonstrates the specific conditions of the various nationalities in the perspective of nationality composition. Beacause Muslim minorities takes a large number in the territory of Bulgaria, the scholars often put "Muslim,""minority" and "turks" exchange use in the study. Bulgaria Muslim according to national are divided into:turks, pomarks gypsy and Macedonia, etc. Turks occupy the Muslim majority, sometimes influence and control other nations of the Muslims, pomarks is in awkward position, what pomarks as independent nation or not has been the focus of the debate in academic fields, gypsy is the most discriminated ethnic whether in Bulgaria or other southeastern Europe, Macedonia, become the "missing" people. In addition, but also lists the other minority'conditions simplely. The third chapter basically discuss about Bulgaria Muslim in1878-1944. Most of time is Bulgaria duchies and kingdom period, from the independent to before the communist party, mainly focus on the bourgeoisie government policy.
