Re-edited in 1979, the "script" is one of a few Chinese contemporary drama literatures that appears to focus on the script of the drama literature. Between 1979 and 1989, it was the golden age for the development of drama, a lot of drama arts were born at that time. Among all of them, there were the"traditional drama of war"followed the pace of politics, and also those evolutionary work when allowed. They were trying to dispose the restrictions of politics on drama arts and following the normal development to pursue arts. Under the influence of western development, some drama writers were brave to combine the western contemporary branch of arts together with the traditional drama work, which made a brand new stage at drama arts. This essay used the search method that combine the contend and format, in order to deeply understand all of those drama work.Specifically, this essay is divided into four parts. Part one explains the developmental changes of the "battle of traditional drama" followed by pace of politics on the'script'from 1979 to 1989. This part also shows the changes of the topics of drama working by looking at the influence of politics on drama work. On the other hand, it analyzed some important work that was produced at that time. Part two focused on those drama work that was different from the"battle of traditional drama", focusing on the variety of topics and the changes in the arts, and looking at the differences between these dramas to the"battle of traditional drama". Part three focuses on the three topics that drove lots of discussions at that time and some related scripts, and looking at the influence of those drama to the whole drama arts at that time. All of these three discussions focused on"if I were real"from Yexin Sha, the explore opera of xinjian gao, the love stories of fengxi bai respectively. Part four focus on the ground of the previous three parts, concludes the unique style of the script journal and also objectively evaluate its contribution and weakness to the development of contemporary drama and literature.
